Fur and Feathers in Woodbastwick
Proud and award-winning celebrated for its traditional, locally sourced, homemade fare, it’s the ideal spot for dinner, lunch or just a pint of excellent beer. Woodforde’s Brewery has been enthusiastic about beer since 1981. Trained in Nelson’s county, their passion has brought them great success with more than 130 awards to date. Two Supreme Champion Beer of Britain awards under our Admiral’s hat, one of just four UK breweries to achieve this accolade.
The Pigs in Edgefield
Since 2006 The Pigs has been the champion of traditional British pub food with locally sourced ingredients. They offer seasonal menus with fortnightly changes and outstanding roast dinner for Sunday lunch. Less common meat cuts are served in innovative and mouthwatering dishes throughout the week, iffits (Norfolk’s answer to tapas), and down to earth puddings. Their ingredients are fresh and as local as possible. There is a piglets menu for the children. And they also serve a fifteen-mile breakfast every morning.
There is a quiz night on Wednesday evening and a range of events throughout the year, advertised in the Pig Issue pub newsletter and menu. As of 2012, the pub also has ten beautiful rooms, three with a spa and a children’s play area. Breakfast is served to non-residents from 8 am on Sundays. More info at https://www.thepigs.org.uk
