There are a number of fun things you can do when visiting Norwich with children. One of my favourites is going to Riverside. There is plenty to see and do for all ages. It’s a great place for families to visit.

The first thing to visit in Riverside is Norwich City Football Club.

If you are visiting the riverside then you must have heard about the famous Norwich football club Canaries.

On match day, the chants of the world’s oldest football song, ‘On the Ball, City’, echo across the rooftops, through the lively Riverside complex, and along the winding River Wensum upon which our fine city was founded.

If you are planning a trip to this amazing city then make sure you make a stop at one of their matches!

After a good match, we suggest getting some food at “The Queen of Iceni”

After a good match, we suggest getting some food at Wetherspoons pub. Usually, after a check-in, there might be some waiting, but that doesn’t seem to phase them (the majority of people seem to be really friendly and helpful).

We found a table outside with a couple of seats, which were taken quickly. Ordinarily, I don’t drink much before going out but hey, it’s the UK, so “here”s a pint and a chat.

And the best finish to the evening is at Hollywood Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl bowling alley is fairly small but has a lot of great things about it. It is located in an area with many restaurants and cinemas just next door.

It is also located in a place with plenty of bars and restaurants which makes it more affordable for people to go out and have a drink rather than going out to a restaurant again after they bowl there.

For this reason, I think it does a great job of attracting people who are outdoorsy types and those who like to have a drink while they play video games or hang out on the weekends.

There are entertainment and other facilities, lovely walks and a super cafe. It is brilliant for families with young children because there is something to keep everyone amused no matter what the weather.

Accessible by bus or car I think the public transport into town is good and it’s also great for cyclists.
