Recycling and Waste Collection
Inside Bins
You’ll find one small bin in the kitchen for everyday waste and recycling. The recycling bin can be used for recyclable items, including glass. The bin is neatly tucked away inside the kitchen cupboard nearest the dining room and pull-out. (Awaiting info from Liam)
Outside bins
Outside bins are collected every two weeks and alternate between refuge and recycling.

Please place the bin out on a Thursday night, ready for collection on a Friday morning. Thank you.

The Nearest convenience store is “Premier”, which is a 2-minute drive from the property. Drive along Edinburgh Road towards Alexandra Road. Turn right onto Alexandra Road, and continue for a short distance. Premier will be on your left-hand side at 2 Alexandra Road.

We would love for you to have a risk-free break at the apartment, but there are a couple of points that would be useful to know during your stay.
In case of fire
There is a fire blanket provided in the cupboard between the bathroom and kitchen. If possible, do immediate first aid and firefighting measures, but don’t put yourself at risk of injury. If the fire cannot be controlled, then vacate the property, and if able, please close windows and doors to control the spread of the fire. Then call 999 immediately.
Use the nearest exit and make your way to the roadside away from the building
Whilst it is unlikely that you will need to evacuate the building, for your safety, we would suggest that you locate the above safety measures soon after your arrival.
*There are no scheduled fire alarm tests during guest stays, so if you hear an alarm, it is the real thing.
In case of a Carbon Monoxide Alarm sounding
Evacuate the home immediately. If you are feeling unwell, call 999 if it is an emergency.
If there are gas appliances in the property, do NOT smoke, do NOT turn light switches on or off, and DO NOT do anything to create a spark
Please call our emergency number outside of hours to advise us of the issue.
In case of a flood
Should there be a need to turn off the water within the property, the main stop cock tap can be located on the bottom left under the kitchen sink.
In the case of electrical supply
There is a fuse box located in the kitchen cupboard under the stairs. Should any power need to be restored, please check both and then call Ginger & Gold Customer Service for assistance.
First Aid
There is a first-aid kit in the kitchen. Please use what you need and message us so we can replace items for our future guests.
